05.09.2023

The anticipation is rising, because on 09 September 2023, the legendary racetrack will be transformed into a festival for motorsport fans at Red Bull Formula Nürburgring. Over 30,000 enthusiastic spectators will watch the breathtaking show runs of motorsport stars such as Sebastian Vettel and Yuki Tsunoda. Now the driver field is complete. Carrie Schreiner, one of Germany's most promising racing drivers, has confirmed her participation. The injured Daniel Ricciardo will be replaced by former F1 driver David Coulthard. The father of F1 champion Max Verstappen, Jos Verstappen, will also come to the Nordschleife.

It will be a motorsport festival of superlatives that awaits the fans at the legendary Nürburgring on 9 September. After F1 stars like Sebastian Vettel, Yuki Tsunoda and Formula 1 legends Ralf Schumacher, Mathias Lauda and Gerhard Berger have already confirmed their participation, the driver field is now complete. Due to his fractured metacarpal, Australian Daniel Ricciardo unfortunately cannot take part in the event. He will be replaced at short notice by 13-time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard. Carrie Schreiner, one of Germany's most promising female racing drivers, has also confirmed her participation and will complete the prominent line-up. The young woman from Saarland is the first German driver in the F1 Academy and will impress the audience on the legendary Nordschleife twice: at the Red Bull Formula Nürburgring in her Formula 4 car and at the 12-hour race in a BMW M4 GT3. In addition, Jos Verstappen, the father of current F1 champion Max Verstappen, will be driving on the Müllenbachschleife.

"This will be a brilliant event for all motorsport fans and the feeling of driving on the legendary Nürburgring is simply indescribable," enthuses Carrie Schreiner.

The 4-hour motorsport programme promises a varied spectacle that will make the fans' hearts beat faster. In addition to the F1 stars, legends and stunt drivers already announced, spectators can look forward to a BMW driver field featuring Jens Klingmann (BMW M3 E30), Philipp Eng (BMW Z4 GT3), Leopold Prinz von Bayern (BMW M1 Pro Car) and Markus Flasch (BMW V12 LMR). The group of GT cars is completed by Bernhard Auinger (Porsche GT2 Clubsport RS), Patrick Friesacher (Toyota Nascar) and one of Germany's best-known horsepower influencers Gercollector (McLaren Senna). An action-packed programme is planned for the spectators during the half-time of the showrun event: Stars of the half-time show are the already announced Red Bull Driftbrothers, Luc Ackermann, Matej Cesak, Davide Rossi, Aras Gibieža and Adrian Guggemos, who will perform spectacular drifts on the track with their vehicles or jump around the course with their bikes.
